Double-Acting Hydraulic Cylinders — Powered in Both Directions
Double-acting hydraulic cylinders manufactured to your drawing for excavators, loaders, cranes and agricultural machines. 100% pressure tested, with a record of three years and zero field claims on a US distributor program.
A double-acting cylinder is powered in both directions — extend and retract — which makes it the standard choice for equipment that needs controlled, two-way movement: boom, stick and bucket cylinders on excavators, lift and tilt on loaders, and most mobile machinery.
Where Double-Acting Cylinders Are Used
- Excavator boom, stick and bucket cylinders
- Loader lift and tilt cylinders
- Agricultural equipment (ploughs, sprayers, headers)
- Crane and material-handling actuators
Welded vs Tie-Rod: Which for Your Application
For mobile machinery under shock load, we typically recommend a welded cylinder — stronger, more compact, and better sealed for dirty, dusty, muddy conditions. For lighter industrial use, a tie-rod cylinder is often the more cost-effective choice. We’ll recommend based on your load and environment.
Key Design Considerations
| Spec | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Bore, rod & stroke | Determined by load, speed and mounting space |
| Working pressure | Drives wall thickness and seal selection |
| Mounting | Clevis, trunnion, flange, foot, pin-eye |
| Rod finish | Hard chrome for wear; optional induction hardening |
| Ports | BSPP, NPT, SAE or metric |
Quality & Testing
Every double-acting cylinder is 100% pressure and leakage tested before shipment. Our US hydraulic-equipment distributor has run welded cylinders built to drawing under private label for three years with zero field claims, and we hold consignment stock for them — proof that the quality holds up in real field use, not just in the test bay.
- 100% pressure and leakage testing
- Bore honing for smooth operation and seal life
- Hard-chrome rods; optional induction hardening
- Private labelling and consignment stock on request
Lead Time, MOQ & Trial Orders
- Trial order: from 1–5 pcs.
- Sample lead time: 10–15 days.
- Production lead time: 20–30 days depending on bore and quantity.
- MOQ: from 3 pcs (confirmed per drawing), confirmed per drawing.
Inspection & Documents
- 100% pressure and leakage test (test certificate on request)
- Dimensional inspection of bore, stroke, mounting and ports

FAQ
Welded or tie-rod — which should I choose?
Welded for mobile machinery and shock loads; tie-rod for lighter industrial use. Tell us the application and we’ll recommend. See our tie-rod cylinders for the alternative.
Can you match an existing cylinder I already use?
Yes. Send the drawing or a sample and we build a direct replacement with the same mounting, ports and stroke.
Do you support private label?
Yes — we build private-labelled cylinders and can hold consignment stock for distributors, as we do for our US customer.
Send your drawing, bore, stroke and pressure for a quote.
