Quality Control & Certifications
Quality requirements need a documented inspection plan. Agree the checkpoints, acceptance criteria and reports for your project before production.
Five inspection gates
- IQCIncoming material: mill certificate, spectrometer check, dimensions
- First articleFAI report before production starts — you approve it
- In-processPatrol inspection at every operation, records per batch
- Final QCDimensional, mechanical and functional testing per AQL
- OQCOutgoing check: quantity, marking, packing, documentation
Inspection equipment
- CMM: confirm measuring range, model and report requirements for the project
- Optical emission spectrometer — material chemistry
- Hardness tester — Rockwell / Brinell / Vickers
- Universal tensile & impact testing machine
- Surface roughness tester
- UT / MT / PT — internal and surface defect detection
- Pressure, holding and cycle test bench for cylinders
- Metallographic microscope — grain structure & case depth
Certifications
| ISO 9001 | Request evidence of current certification and scope for the proposed production site |
| ISO 14001 | Request evidence of current certification and scope for the proposed production site |
| IATF 16949 | Request evidence of current certification and scope for the proposed production site |
| ISO 3834 | Request evidence of current certification and scope for the proposed production site |
| EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 | Confirm required material documents and third-party witnessing in the order |
| RoHS / REACH | Confirm applicable materials, declarations and supporting evidence |
Sample reports
Review the documentation guidance and request the report formats required for your order.
Download samples →Batch traceability
Agree batch identification, material traceability, production records and retention requirements in the inspection plan.
Process capability
Define Cpk targets and defect-reporting requirements for agreed critical dimensions. The Germany project reports a 99.7% batch pass rate; this is a project result, not a global rate.
Third-party inspection is welcome
Request an inspection by your nominated third party or engineer. Site access, scope and timing are confirmed for the order.
