Closed Die Forging — Strong, Near-Net-Shape Parts

Closed die forging squeezes heated metal into a shaped die, aligning the grain flow along the part’s profile. The result is a component that is stronger, tougher and more fatigue-resistant than a casting or a machined billet of the same shape.

Why Forged Parts Are Stronger

Forging deforms the metal and aligns its grain flow along the part profile, eliminating internal voids and refining the structure. For parts under load — levers, yokes, rods, flanges, gears — this translates directly to longer life and lower failure risk.

From Billet to Finished Forging

We forge, trim, heat-treat, machine and inspect under one roof. A German OEM partner has sourced closed-die forged components from us for over five years at an annual volume of 420,000 parts — a working proof of the repeat quality and delivery we hold.

FAQ

Is forging better than casting for my part?

If the part is under dynamic or impact load, forging is usually stronger because of grain-flow alignment. For complex geometry at lower cost, casting wins. We make both, so we will recommend honestly against your application.

Can you forge to my existing drawing?

Yes — send the drawing and we confirm the die design, material and tolerance before quoting.

Do you machine the forging?

Yes, machining, heat treatment and finishing are done in-house for cast-to-print or forge-to-print delivery.
